hi, I'm jesse forest.

I live in Boulder,
hang out at Victors & Spoils,
and sometimes rock a six string with the talented Natalie Walker.

I also post photos here
and when a song is stuck in my head, it might wind up here.

Neato.

Store mannequins copying your outfits again?

Tap into a new pulse, and revive your fashion sense without breaking the bank.

As I was recently in the bay area, there are a plethora of vintage clothing boutiques. In the Haight area, there are many one of a kinds and timeless threads.  While these shops are excellent avenues for exploring new looks…it is ultimately time consuming to sift through endless racks, and sometimes not the most cost effective option*.

(*i.e. does that Sammy Hagar shirt with the oil stain really worth $43.00?  )

    …hint: no.

Clothing hack:  find brands, sizes, and styles and then check them out on eBay.

Recently stumbling on my “it” jean, I found that it was few and far between to find another pair.  Knowing the particular brand, size, and style of jean, eBay turned up another wash of the jeans for…drum roll….$3.00.  While they are used, worn-in, or simply ” previously loved”…they are not expensive, and it’s exactly what I wanted.

Set your fashion sense loose, not your checking account.

    …happy hunting.
