BROOMFIELD — Grisly ghouls will rise from tombs worldwide next week in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record.
On Oct. 24, local participants will head to the Paul Derda Recreation Center in Broomfield as part of “Thrill the World.” They’ll join people from around the globe to recreate the dance from the video for Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
“Thrill the World” organizers hope to set a world record for the most people dancing the same dance at one time. Locally, it will raise money for A Precious Child.
Participants are encouraged to come wearing costumes. Instructors will spend about two hours teaching the moves.
Thrill the World will begin at 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children younger than 17 and $25 for a family of four. Tickets can be purchased online at myzumbaclass.com/ttw_event.html or at the door.
